I have a long haired cat that kept developing dreadlocks in his fur. I had tried many other combs and brushes, but none of them would work through his fur without hurting him. This brush was different. I used RO water and would mist the problem areas before brushing and then slowly work my way through with the brush, and it didn't tug near as much as the other brushes. While I could achieve the same effect with a spray bottle, my cat is very shy to the point, we're I can only usually find him for a weekly brushing. So I need every session to count. This brush meets my needs, it even has a button to push the fur off of the bristles. I have recommended it to all my cat owning family members.
Really good brush, it left my cats fur so soft. My cats were a little afraid at first tho.
great mist brush. holds a charge very well. 4 stars because the placement of the mist button in the middle of the handle and will always get unintentionally turned off when brushing. Also when pushing the eject button to clean the fur off the bristles doesnt push all the way out so the fur is still attached to the bristles.
I don't write reviews but I really like this brush. I do use it with a second brush which is more basic and has the sharper metal bristles. It took my cat about a week to get used to the water feature, but he now really likes it. And I find the water feature is really helpful at removing loose fur. By using the combination of the basic metal brush plus this one, I find that more fur comes off quicker, his coat looks better, and I don't have to brush him as often. (Although he does love to be brushed.) But just be prepared that your cat may not immediately like the water feature. If you give him some time, s/he'll probably adjust.
I have a long haired border collie that shed mounds of hair daily. I have tried all sorts of brushes, oils and shampoos to eliminate the fur tumbleweeds in my house. This brush with the mist seems to be the ultimate solution. I brush with this device once a day and no more fur tumbleweeds.
